Snorkeling and Scuba Diving in HawaiiHawaii has long been a Mecca for underwater enthusiasts. Snorkeling and scuba diving are two of the most popular tourist attractions, and for good reason. To go on a scuba dive in Hawaii, it is best to be certified first, but not necessary. Trips are available for beginning divers, and the Hawaiian tropics are a premier place to partake in an underwater adventure. Like snorkeling, there are many different species of animal available for you to peruse. Among the sea life you will encounter on a scuba diving trip in Hawaii are all the same types of fish and sea turtles that you can see while snorkeling, but you will also have a chance to see dolphins, seals and other large creatures of the sea. One benefit to scuba diving that you cannot get with snorkeling is the chance to explore Hawaii’s blue oceans for things other than sea life. Going on a scuba dive off of any one of the state’s eight islands means you can encounter a number of other interesting things. There are shipwrecks to see, underwater lava configurations, barrier reefs, caves and tunnels. Going scuba diving in Hawaii will offer you one of the most unique experiences of your life.
